Founders Johan Mauritzson and Lukas Ostermann both served as club directors within the U.S. soccer system, managing uniform cycles, teamwear programs, and apparel needs for players, coaches, and teams across every level of the game.

2021
The Vision
Johan Mauritzson and Lukas Ostermann, both former Club Directors of Lansdowne Yonkers FC in New York, experienced firsthand the challenges of managing team uniforms, from long turnaround times and incomplete orders to generic designs and poor customer service. Those gaps revealed the need for change and set the foundation for redefining how teamwear is designed and delivered for clubs, coaches, and players.

2022
New Gen Sports Begins
Leaving their full-time roles behind, Johan and Lukas relocated to Florida to establish New Gen Sports Group LLC. Driven by their vision to revolutionize teamwear, they quickly gained the trust of 7 initial partner clubs, who joined their journey and became the first to order uniforms through the newly launched online store.

2023
70 New Clubs Onboarded
By optimizing their supply chain and elevating their product offerings, New Gen Sports successfully partnered with 70 additional clubs for the 2022 season, marking a significant milestone in their growth. Positive feedback from directors, parents, and players affirmed that this was just the start of an exciting journey ahead.

2024
250+ New Clubs Added
By expanding their team with passionate, like-minded young professionals, and continuously improving product quality while strengthening supplier relationships, New Gen Sports added another 250 soccer clubs to their partner network. Reflecting on 2024, New Gen Sports achieved an average delivery time of just 13 days and ensured exceptional service, responding to all customer support inquiries within 24 hours.

2025
A Strategic Rebrand
In January 2025, New Gen Sports Group rebranded as ARETYN, embracing a bold new identity with a clear vision: to be radically premium in every aspect, from product quality to customer support.
With the introduction of 150 new items and the development of the most advanced team store solution, ARETYN set out to deliver the ultimate all-around teamwear experience for U.S. soccer, redefining excellence in the industry.

2026
DTC is Launched
In January 2026, ARETYN launched its first direct-to-consumer activewear collection. Built on the same commitment to quality, design, and performance developed through years of teamwear experience, the DTC launch marked a new chapter, bringing ARETYN apparel directly to athletes and individuals.
